After the many photographs have been taken, they are processed into a 2 dimensional image that can be overlaid on most mapping programs like Google Earth. These images can give great detail.

The images can also be processed into 3 dimensional models. This allows for viewing from many angles. It can also reveal the contour of the landscape. This dataset can be viewed with most 3D viewing programs.
